Abstract
There are no comparative prospective and randomized studies. For this reason, the use of cefazolin should be reserved for disruptions in the supply of cloxacillin. A high dose of 80 to 100Â mg/kg/day seems justified in severe infections because of a risk of cefazolin inoculum effect.
