Abstract
In cases with favorable anatomy, the treatment of choice of mitral stenosis is percutaneous mitral valvuloplasty. Mitral regurgitation is probably the most treacherous of valve diseases, and premature identification of its hemodynamic repercussion is warranted to achieve the best surgical results.
