Abstract
PVNS can be difficult to treat. We found no difference in local recurrence rates between open and arthroscopic treatment of LPVNS but significantly increased rates of recurrence for DPVNS following arthroscopic treatment. We would therefore recommend open synovectomy for DPVNS.
