Abstract
â¢Angiogenesis is the hallmark of tumor growth and metastasis and VEGF is an angiogenic marker with enhanced expression in CRC.â¢The study intends to elucidate the role of Bcl-2 in relation to VEGF in CRC and clinicopathological parameters.â¢Bcl-2 depicted a significant association with VEGF expression especially in cases of adenocarcinoma involving the rectum.â¢The findings of the study incline towards an angiogenic role of Bcl-2, and its expression status may have implications on tumor behavior.
