Abstract
This article analyses the part played by Revista Colombiana de PsiquiatrÃa in the development of psychiatry as a medical speciality in Colombia. Moreover, it discusses its role in helping to consolidate the biomedical perspective and evidence-based medicine in Colombian psychiatry.
