Abstract
⺠Combined crash-mitigation effectiveness of speed-limit reductions and traffic signal warnings is studied. ⺠Random parameters negative binomial and nested logit models are used. ⺠The effect of a 5 mi/h speed-limit reduction with signal-warning flashers is ambiguous. ⺠But a 10 mi/h speed-limit reduction with signal-warning flashers unambiguously decreases the frequency and severity of crashes.
