Abstract
The study provides an analytical approach of assessing urban biodiversity in Manila City, Philippines through spatial mapping, inventory and profiling utilizing tools such as i-Tree Canopy, Urban Green Space Inventory, and Simpson's Index of Diversity. These tools establish the relationship of urban biodiversity with human settlements resiliency as basis of determining the level of exposure of human settlements to natural hazards such as flooding and in proposing urban planning and development interventions.
