Abstract
The hypochlorite ion (OClâ) is widely used for water disinfection. Chlorine gas, sodium hypochlorite solutions and solid calcium hypochlorite formulations are the three most common industrial sources of the hypochlorite ion. This paper focuses on the thermal stability of the OClâ ion as derived from solid calcium hypochlorite formulations.
