Abstract
Today's college students are faced with getting the most out of their education so that they can compete in the job market. At the University of Connecticut, combining a course on hazardous waste operations into a course of study enables the student to market not only their degree but also a recognized achievement (40-hour HAZWOPER training) in the environmental field.
