Abstract
- Water-soluble β-d-glucan polysaccharide was extracted with the aid of ultrasound.
- Single and multifactor experiments were employed to optimize the conditions of extraction by RSM.
- A quadratic polynomial model represents the relation of polysaccharides and extraction variables.
- The power intensity has significant non-linear effects that affect further scale-up.
- The optimal conditions could be better applicable after modifying the geometry of the extractor.
