Abstract
An important function for safety professionals is the identification of reproductive toxicants. This manuscript will provide an overview of what reproductive toxicants are and difficulties associated with determining what chemicals should be considered reproductive toxicants. It will also review sources used to help with reproductive toxicant determinations and demonstrate limitations in using these sources. A table of 934 chemicals combined from six databases: California Proposition 65, Reprotext, ACGIH, Hax-Map, Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center Technical Manual, and a list published by Jankovic and Drake is presented. Only four of these chemicals were listed in all six sources.
