Abstract
- A new physico-chemical process below 1000 °C for immobilization of galvanic sludges.
- Sodium tetraborate and sodium silicate have been used as additives.
- A strategy for adjustment of solid waste/additive mixture composition is presented.
- Strategy is valid for wastes of hydrometallurgical and electro-plating processes.
- Lower energy consumption and treated waste volume, shorter process time are provided.
