Abstract
⺠Structures of target compounds affect the course of Fenton and Fenton-like reactions. ⺠Amounts of aromatic compounds influence the extent of Fe(III)/Fe(II) conversion. ⺠Aromatic intermediates influence Fe conversion and reaction process by direct or indirect reduction. ⺠Fenton and Fenton-like reactions may involve each other and occur simultaneously.
