Abstract
► We report a new procedure to treat highly polluted wastewater containing metals. ► COD removal strongly depends on the initial temperature and the way of feeding H2O2. ► Semicontinuous-High Temperature Fenton (SHTF) allows COD removal higher than 90%. ► The proposed solution represents a cost-effective alternative to the currently used.
