Abstract
⺠In this study we examine the use of Mg-cosolvent system for the simultaneous degradation of PAHs at room temperature. ⺠The reductive degradation of the selected PAHs occurred, after the activation of Mg with acetic acid. ⺠This reducing system degraded the selected PAHs (>93%) and produced several hydrogenated derivatives within 24 h. ⺠This technique can be a cheap alternative to current PAH remediation and hydrogenation methods.
