Abstract
⺠This study compares uptake/translocation of organochlorine congeners in macrophytes. ⺠First, root OC uptake was strongly linked with the partitioning/diffusion process. ⺠With time exposure, bioconcentration increased with OC solubility and volatility. ⺠Translocation was linked to the combination of water flow and vapor flux transfers. ⺠The most volatile OCs might be phytovolatilized from foliar surfaces.
