Abstract
The notion of E-proximinality is a new concept, recently introduced. In this paper we characterize E-proximinal hyperplanes and E-proximinal subspaces of real Banach spaces. We also show that every proximinal hyperplane in the classical Banach space C(Q) is E-proximinal.
