Abstract
In this study, we consider a thermoelastic beam system where the oscillations are defined by the Timoshenko model and heat conduction is given by the Green and Naghdi theories. We provide an explicit characterization of the decay rate, which can be exponential or polynomial depending on the relationship between the coefficients of the wave propagation speed.
