Abstract
⺠MnOx-CeO2/TiO2 catalyst was highly active for Hg0 oxidation. ⺠10 ppm HCl plus 4% O2 balanced in N2 resulted in 100% Hg0 oxidation. ⺠SO2 competed with Hg0 for active sites, thus limiting Hg0 conversion. ⺠NO occupied active sites and consumed surface oxygen, hence inhibiting Hg0 oxidation.
