Abstract
⺠A conceptual in-situ mineral carbonation method using a coal ash pond is proposed. ⺠CO2 uptake occurred by carbonation reaction of CO2 with Ca2+ ions from coal fly ash. ⺠The CO2 sequestration capacity was affected by the solid dosage. ⺠Seawater can be used as a solvent for mineral carbonation of coal fly ash.
