Abstract
⺠I-DBPs can be produced when iodide-containing waters are in contact with potassium permanganate. ⺠HOI, I2 and I3â are responsible for the I-DBPs formation during oxidation by potassium permanganate. ⺠High concentrations of I-DBPs were generated with the maximum yield at circumneutral pH. ⺠Molar ratio of Iâ/KMnO4 showed significant influence on the formation of DBPs.
