Abstract
⺠We examined biodegradation of tributyltin (TBT) by fungal co-culture. ⺠Cunninghamella elegans degraded TBT to DBT and MBT, then Cochliobolus lunatus transformed TBT derivatives. ⺠We suggested that DBT and MBT elimination has a cometabolic nature. ⺠The hydroxylated TBT intermediate-hydroxybutyldibutyltin was found.
