Abstract
⺠Chitosan worked well in alkaline medium to remove turbidity from sea water. ⺠The final turbidity of the sea water after treatment using chitosan followed by filtration was very low (0.433 NTU). ⺠The performance of chitosan was better than that of ferrous sulfate and comparable to alum.
