Abstract
- We report a high-resolution OAE2 record from a significantly expanded interval from Tibet.
- The Tibetan record documents the complete CIE and indicates a duration for OAE2 of â¼820 kyr.
- Coupled MS and δ13C changes reveal a shift in phasing through OAE2.
- The shift in phasing marks a wholesale dramatic oceanographic change that terminated OAE2.
- A node of the 2.4 Myr cycle heralds the termination, not initiation, of ocean anoxia.
