- The Xigaze forearc basin was built above the newly formed Xigaze ophiolites.
- Stratigraphic base comprises a lower siliceous member and an upper turbidite member.
- Siliceous deposition with Transhimlayan tuffs followed the formation of ophiolites.
- Deposition of volcaniclastic turbidites began at 113-110 Ma.
- Early stages of Neotethyan subduction determined the birth of Xigaze forearc basin.
