Abstract
► An innovative multimodal HAZMAT location and routing model is proposed. ► The nonlinear model initially developed is converted into a mixed integer linear form. ► The new model can simultaneously optimize transfer yard locations and routing plans. ► Two case studies are conducted and demonstrate the applicability of the new model.
