Abstract
⺠The robust PVA-alginate magnetic beads have superior photocatalytic performance. ⺠A minimum photocatalyst dosage of 8% (v/v) is capable of removing 100% Cr(VI) within 30 min. ⺠The beads were recycled without washing for 7 times without losing their initial properties. ⺠The highly porous structure allows easy diffusion of Cr(VI) into the interiors of beads. ⺠Such porous structure resulted in increased removal efficiencies.
