Abstract
⺠Highly pure monosulfate was synthesized and its validity was confirmed by analyses. ⺠Arsenate was intercalated in the interlayer of monosulfate by exchange of sulfate ion. ⺠Sorption behavior of As(V) showed a dramatic change with increase in As(V). ⺠The transformation of monosulfate to ettringite was observed at higher As(V) levels.
