Abstract
⺠Cd induces oxidative stress, increasing the H2O2 and O2â generation. ⺠SOD, G-POD, CAT activities are enhanced by Cd. ⺠G-POD activity participates in Cd-induced lignin synthesis. ⺠Cd mainly accumulates in exodermis and vascular cylinder. ⺠Cd is mostly immobilized in roots, limiting its transport to aerial parts.
