Abstract
► Desulfurization of high-sulfur coal by dry chlorination was investigated. ► The temperature and particle size had a great influence on sulfur removal. ► The optimal chlorination temperature for sulfur removal was 350 °C ► A lot of organic and pyritic sulfur and inorganic minerals were removed ► The fixed carbon of coal had no loss.
