Abstract
⺠Desulfurization of high-sulfur coal by dry chlorination was investigated. ⺠The temperature and particle size had a great influence on sulfur removal. ⺠The optimal chlorination temperature for sulfur removal was 350 °C ⺠A lot of organic and pyritic sulfur and inorganic minerals were removed ⺠The fixed carbon of coal had no loss.
