Abstract
The quantitative morphology of bedrock fault surfaces is closely related to the exposure duration of fault surface, and therefore is a useful approach to identify paleo-earthquakes. Three results have been completed in this study: 1) identified three paleo-earthquakes; 2) estimated the approximate vertical coseismic displacement of characteristic earthquake; 3) combined with previous trenching results, we fitted an empirical relationship between the exposure duration and the morphological characteristic value on the target fault: DÂ =Â 0.049 TÂ +Â 2.246.
