Abstract
► The interference of heavy metals on Hg2+ removal by DTCR was first investigated. ► Mechanism of the decrease in the participating performance over Hg2+ was analyzed. ► Optimal DTCR dosage was determined in the coexistence of Cu2+ or Pb2+ with Hg2+. ► Effect of pH value on the interference of Hg2+ removal rate was studied. ► The equilibrium constant of Cu2+ and Hg2+ with DTCR was obtained.
