Abstract
⺠Silica nanoparticles has been synthesized using aero-gel process and characterized. ⺠These were impregnated with reactive chemicals, e.g., trichloroisocyanuric acid. ⺠Kinetics of removal of sulphur mustard indicated t1/2 value of 2.8 min over it. ⺠Blister & nerve agents and simulants were degraded to non toxic products over it. ⺠Toxicants degraded via hydrolysis, elimination, dehydrohalogenation and oxidations.
