Abstract
⺠Manganese oxide-carbon composites were prepared and tested as ozonation catalysts. ⺠These composites are more efficient than carbon materials. ⺠Total degradation of oxalic acid was obtained in less than 50 min for all composites. ⺠No synergic effects were observed between manganese oxide and carbon materials. ⺠Ozonation in the presence of these catalysts occurs mainly by surface reactions.
