Abstract
⺠Simultaneous delivery of electron donors and bacteria into low permeability clays. ⺠Bacteria injection, growth and consequent transformation of contaminants are viable. ⺠EK injection is more effective than advection-based injection for clay soil. ⺠Electroosmosis appears to be the driving mechanism for bacteria injection. ⺠Both EK transport and biodegradation contribute the removal of VOCs in clay.
