Abstract
⺠New technique using humin on sodium silicate as an adsorbent for THM in water. ⺠Thermal desorption enables adsorbent recycling and THM recovery. ⺠Extraction efficiencies of 45.9-90.1% for individual THM compounds. ⺠Adsorptive capacity of the fixed bed increased after multiple recycling. ⺠Order of selectivity of the adsorbent for THM was CHBr3 > CHBr2Cl > CHBrCl2 > CHCl3.
