Abstract
⺠Mechanism of chlorine reaction with phenylurea compounds has been studied. ⺠It depends on both chlorinating species and substitutents on the compounds. ⺠Main products were identified using LC-MS/MS and authentic standards. ⺠Their transformation under normal drinking water disinfection was predicted.
