Abstract
Both the upper and lower layers of the Heiyingshan garnet-bearing rhyolites show typical S-type affinity, such as the radioactive 87Sr/86Sr and low ε(Nd) and ε(Hf) values indicating they were derived from the partial melting of the metasedimentary rocks. These characteristics are clearly distinct from those of the Permian A-type granitoids, providing new evidence for the crustal reworking in the CAOB.215
