Abstract
⺠Waste washing pre-treatment of municipal and special solid waste. ⺠Treatment focused on controlling waste leachable fraction and related impacts. ⺠Results revealed a reduction of leachable fraction of contaminants. ⺠Removal rates exceed 65% for DOC, COD and TKN and 60% for anions and metals. ⺠Aerobic/anaerobic column test was performed to simulate waste behaviour in landfill.
