Abstract
⺠Macroporous polymers with hydrophilic methylpyridinium groups were synthesized. ⺠Microwave-assisted desorption increased with the hydrophilicity of polymers. ⺠Adsorbed moisture allowed indirect heating of the polymers to a higher temperature. ⺠The enhanced desorption was due mainly to more adsorbed moisture on the polymers.
