Abstract
⺠Supercritical fluids were introduced for debromination and recovery of oil from waste plastic containing brominated flame retardant in e-waste. ⺠Organic solvents performed excellent effectiveness not only on debromination but also on oil recycling, among which, isopropanol was the most effective. ⺠Addition of KOH to supercritical isopropanol further enhanced depolymerization and captured inorganic bromine from oil and thus obtaining bromine-free oil.
