Abstract
► Two-stage process was used for regeneration of waste foundry sand. ► Regeneration consists of crushing, grinding, separation, and classification. ► The sand regenerated under optimum conditions had a SiO2 content greater than 94%. ► The recovery ratio was in excess of 80%. ► For stabilization, the self-propagating combustion method using coal refuse was used.
