Abstract
⺠Application of mixed Fe and Mg (hydro)oxides coatings onto bentonite leads to structural and textural changes of starting bentonite. ⺠The composite has the specific surface area that is twice the size compared to the surface area of the starting bentonite. ⺠Composite removes efficiently both ionic and colloidal forms of Pb(II). ⺠Efficient removal of Pb(II) from aqueous solutions is in wide range of pH. ⺠High maximum adsorption capacity for Pb(II) (95.88 mg/g).
