Abstract
► Four plant species were used to test the phytostabilisation of mine soils. ► Pyrite acidified and mobilised trace elements, and was controlled by liming. ► Retama sphaerocarpa and Myrtus communis improved soil quality. ► Phytostabilisation is a feasible phytotechnology for mine soil management.
