Abstract
⺠Mucor plumbeus efficient PCP degradation pathway does not involve ligninolytic enzymes. ⺠PCP transformation by the mycelial fraction does not require cytochrome P-450 activity. ⺠PCP-derived metabolites are similar, regardless of the carbon availability. ⺠Phase II (di)conjugates and chlorinated hydroquinones are PCP-derived metabolites. ⺠Sulfate-glucose diconjugates are herein identified in fungi for the first time.
