Abstract
⺠We studied the reduction of nitrobenzenes catalyzed by carbon black. ⺠Different carbon blacks were produced from different raw materials and methods. ⺠Some active oxygenated functional groups of carbon black are the reactive sites. ⺠The type and position of substituent could affect the reduction of nitrobenzenes.
