Abstract
- We analyzed atmospheric PAHs in particulate matter and gaseous phase in Japan.
- Main sources of PAHs are estimated to be local traffic, e.g., diesel engines.
- Most PAHs did not show significant correlations with meteorological parameters.
- PAH concentrations varied dominantly due to the formation of stable layer in the air.
- Formation of the layer led to a high risk of PAHs, thereby affecting human health.
