Abstract
⺠The photoactivity of the delafossite CuAlO2 is enhanced under mild conditions. ⺠The conduction band of CuAlO2 is of cationic type, providing a high reducing power. ⺠The photo reduction of phosphate is well described by a first order kinetic.
