Abstract
► H2O2 is catalytically generated for Fenton process using H2 substitutes and O2. ► Formic acid, hydrazine and hydroxylamine are used as H2 substitutes. ► Halide ions are not able to promote the efficiency of the process. ► Formic acid shows a remarkable performance in acidic conditions. ► For neutral wastewaters, hydroxylamine is able to achieve a better efficiency.
