Abstract
► Copper-loaded poly (4-vinylpyridine) (WH-425-Cu) as adsorbent to remove arsenate was investigated. ► WH-425-Cu showed a high selectivity for As (V) in the presence of competing co-existing ions and humic acid. ► The optimal As (V) uptake occurred in the pH range of 6.0-8.0. ► The exhausted adsorbent could be regenerated highly efficiently.
